Perhaps the greatest Star Trek of all time. Finally, a true Science Fiction at its best. Reminds me of the books. I'm giving this a well deserved 5 stars!

What can you say about a ponderous redux in which Kirk comes off as a spoiled brat (think Chris O'Donnell in Batman Forever) and the villain inspires the sort of admiration we're supposed to feel for a suddenly chunky Mr. Spock? All I can tell you is to check out the stems on Uhura!!!

I figured the naysayers on this were simply old farts unhappy that their beloved show was being overhauled to appeal to a younger, hipper audience and just went in with an open mind. Sadly, I wound up wasting my money on a monumental misfire that makes VOYAGER look good in comparison.

I had high expectations for this but it just doesn't work. Bring back Shatner.

A lot funnier than it's intended to be; I kept expecting Kirk's hairpiece to go flying every time they hit warp speed!!! LOL!

I've been greatly looking forward to Star Trek: The IMAX Experience since first hearing that it would be in IMAX. Unfortunately, I live in Vancouver, where the folks at Cineplex's head office (in Toronto, I'm told) have deemed us unworthy of being able to experience the movie in IMAX. Apparently, it will be in Halifax, Montreal, Ottawa and Woodbridge. No IMAX theaters west of that! Unbelievable!

Simply brilliant! JJ is a genius, he has given the old franchise a new life! Yeah, it's not always an exact fit with the old show, it's better.

Absolutely amazing. I am a fan (I don't have go to the conventions, nothing wrong with) but I have always loved some of the series, specifically Enterprise, then TNG and Voyager and now getting into the Original series. This movie really introduces the myth of star trek and the production value is incredible. Does not matter if you are a Trekkie or not, you will enjoy this movie.
