  Great movie! 5 stars. The old "Star Trek" canon has effectively closed with this movie, branching to a new direction (much like hollywood did with Batman's origin). People who spent decades as trekkies may not like the change, but on its own which is based on the original characters, this is a REALLY good movie! I'm personally looking forward to seeing how the NEW canon/storyline and crew relationships develops.

  I liked the fact that stayed true to the tv show.Captian kurkt was hottie.

  One word - SPECTACULAR! Been a Trek fan for 40 years, but this resets the franchise the same way Batman Begins did a few years back. GET READY FOR A GREAT RIDE!

  Love it! Awesome Movie. Very powerful and emotional, will definitely see a few more times. Everything came together, story, directing, acting, music, cinemetography, special effects and emotion. The scene with elder Spock and Jim, gave me chills, it was like he was really talking to the original kirk (Will Shatner). Loved the accents, very well done, Gene R. is smiling. Female friend non trekker loved it, said it was exciting and a great film, other friend who is a mild trekker loved it also. I consider myself a TNG/TOS fan and I LOVED IT. Thank you JJ Abrams and Team for showing us what Star Trek can be, this film combines all the wonderful moments of star trek, star trek 2, 4, 6, first con

  Amazing! Never watched Star Trek before but this looked amazing. And it was. If you've never wached it or have you will like it. Easy to follow story. Good for fans and newbies to the franchise!

  Amazing movie. Excellent actors, well-written, terrific effects,wonderful musical score, etc. etc. Nimoy was AMAZING! A terrific film for both fans (have been one for 25 years) and filmgoers new to the franchise as well. Star Trek is reborn!!!

  I loved this movie from the start. Have been a Star Trek fan from day one but not a true Trekkie. Definitely buying this movie. Great cast, production value - you get your monies worth here!

  This movie deserves nothing less than 5 STARS! Not quite like the veteran style and somewhat slow paced but very pleasurable Star Trek movies we all know, but an amazing addition to the Star Trek franchise. This new style of scientific filming is a blast from the past with a strong futuristic taste. This movie was obviously targeted for current fans but designed and shot to attract new fans especially the younger audience. What a way to lock in for the future of Star Trek. I can see a part 2 being shot right now with part 3 being written as I write this. Good Job and well worth watching. EnJoY
