  To the person who said "routine special effects"...who could possibly agree with you? For a space movie it was very special special effects.

  Great movie! A bit plot-light, but soooo well done. Every scene in space is stunning. The spacedock launch shines above all. Spock, Kirk, McCoy, Uhuru and Scotty were so well portrayed. Simon Pegg's Scotty is very refreshing. Captain Pike's "I dare you to do better" speech is powerful. Possibly the best line belongs to McCoy "Are you out of your Vulcan mind?" (or "Space is disease and danger wrapped in darkness and silence.") Or is it Spock's "out of the chair"? All of these actors and the guy who played Chekov hit it out of the park.
