  Went in with low expectations, after the disappointment of Wolverine (what a grim film that was) I was prepared for the worst. But, man, this movie is terrific. Great casting lead to great performances. Script is fast AND funny. Finally a movie with some wit.

  As in all movies the camera is too close during exciting action scenes making for a frustrating, blurry too fast, and difficult segment to follow. You think with the technology of today they could make better camera tracking so you at least have an idea of what the action is.

  It was good and I enjoy Star Trek in all its forms, but I am an original die hard and the first Star Trek characters were better. The new Spock did not live up to the well defended Mr. Spock who gradually evolved over time. Too much emotion and Uhura should not have been all over him like that-this did not fit with her or Spock, unless affected by some strange space disease.

  Definitely the best Star Trek movie out there. Takes the franchise to a new level that you just have to love whether you are a fan or not.

  Great movie, very entertaining. You do not have to have seen or known anything about star trek in the past to enjoy this movie. Promotes the franchise in a huge way. If you thought star trek rarely had action in the past, you're right, this movie changes all of that. Despite some sleep walking acting, and a few character personality misinterpretations(Kirk), This movie will please regular people on a friday night and most star trek fanatics. Easily a contender for movie of the summer.
