  A decent Hollywood action flick. But they could have left the name Star Trek off of it. JJ Abrams is a brilliant director but really should stick to being creative and creating something new rather than trying to re-invent an icon such as Star Trek. It lacked the main theme of Gene Roddenberry's where there is a human moral to be learned. This movie was packed with the grunge (which, don't be me wrong... can be a good thing) that did not carry through with the any of the original development of Star Trek. Star Trek is not supposed to be raw, in your face, out of the can action. Besides showing the development of the characters, and taking liberties on a few, the story was weak and lacked

  For a crew with young actors. This was absolutly 1a 10 satr movie. Great story line. Well worth spending my birthday at. We loved it. Totally better then the previews. Just one thing wrong. The original serious said ) to bold they go where no Man has gone before at the end. I hope theres another one!

  I went in with little expectations as I am not a huge fan of star trek. I must say I was blown away. Very well done, well acted, just the right amount of humor, kept a good pace all the way through. Worth going to see again...

  Simply brilliant. Re-vamping Star Trek was a huge risk that turned out great. Action packed from beginning to end.Loved it!

  I`ve never seen an episode of Star Trek... This was an awesome movie! I`d definitely watch it again. So happy I watched it. Well Done! I love what J.J. Abrams brings to life on screen. He`s an amazing director!

  Outstanding! They changed things enough that they can now do any story lines they choose. Smart, very smart. It was sufficiently faithful to the original for old fans and new enough to be interesting in general for new fans. I'll buy it when it comes out on DVD. 5 Stars

  Great! Loved to see the new Characters. You could pick them out right away and just laugh at how great of a job they did. Can't wait to see everyone in the next one!
