I thought the music was breathtaking, and Gerard Butler as the Phantom was seductive, romantic and did a great job singing even tho` he didn`t have an opera experience. Plus, he is a hottie!!! I have watched this movie many times already and it brings tears to my eyes everytime.

I think it is one of the greatest movies ever made. It moved me so much emotionally that I was haunted almost with pity for the lonely Phantom. Couldn`t get it out of my mind and had to watch it 20 times before I could get over the sadness. the music was so beautiful and the way it flowed through the movie over and over was magnificent. It absorbed me, carried me away. i could listen to it for the rest of my life and never tire of it. Perfect casting as well. It led me to read the book by Gaston which I started at 10:30 a.m. on a Saturday and finished at 11:30 that night. It led me to research the Paris Opera House as well as the cast. A real

This is a cinematic masterpiece. The performances of the supporting cast was very strong, and so was Emmy Rossum`s portrayal of Christine Daaé. I was quite dissappointed with Gerard Butler`s performance as the Phantom, for his voice is by no means as stellar as Michael Crawford. Also, Gerard is very different from Michael as he portrayed Phantom as a tormented pervert, while Michael portrayed him as a tragic lover. Emmy Rossum, however was even better than Sarah Brightman, for she does not sound like her throat is stuffed with cotton when she hits the high notes the way Sarah does. Also, Emmy is convincing, and Christine truly does sound
