I thought it was the most passionate movie I`ve ever seen. And, the closest to the original broadway show I`ve ever seen. Gerard Butler is simply amazing! Wonderful, wonderful screenplay!

I have seen this movie already 4 times in theater and i would see it again! I even have my mom going out to purchase the soundtrack in order to hear the music whenever she wants and she hates opera! I especially enjoyed the acting done by Emmy Rossum she is a beautiful women and she had diffucult shoes to fill andin my opinion she did that and more, also Gerard Butler has a hauntingly beautiful voice which brought a soul and a face to those of us that haven`t been priviledged enough to see the play. Thank-you Emmy and Gerard and a huge thanks to Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber never stop creating beautiful stories that even for 2 hours let us forget

I found this movie haunting. I seem to flash back now and then as the music goes through my mind. Seeing the play and now the movie, I must admit the movie gave me a more intimate feeling. Gerard Butler is a name I will not forget, because he gave life to the Phantom. On stage we can not see the love, and hate in the face of the actor, but in this movie, I found myself loving the Phantom because of the emotion shown by this actor. I will diffently get this movie when it`s available, and I will keep it with all my favorite films. Thank you for giving us back a musical on film, and making days gone by something to remember.

I only seen it once, but I`ve bben a fan since I ever heardthe song"The Phantom of the Opera" I was five years old. I think Gerard Butler really out-did himself this time. Even if his face was scared in the movie,he was still just as hot as before. i just saw the movie today 2-5-05 and my best friend and myself are in a compitition to see who can get the sound track, movie (on D.V.D)and the original published book first. I think that GERARD BUTLER is HHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I thought the movie was one of the best that I have ever seen. The feeling that the characters expressed completely pulled me into the movie, made me feel like I was in the opera house too. I would definately see "The Phantom of the Opera" again and again."

The movie still haunts me. It was sensual, magical, touching, romantic, and moving. I have always loved the music but the movie embellishes my appreciation for the story. Emmy is a great singer and actress and Gerry is very sexy in it. I will have to see it again and again. It is one of my all time favorite movies. Bravo Andrew and Joel.
