Some things just aren`t meant to be transferred to film; this is one of them.

Every emotion that I felt during each of the 12 times i saw the stage show were still there in full force when I saw this film. Having read the original novel three times, this film puts to screen everything that I had envisioned while reading that text. It`s rare to find a film for which I can honestly say I wouldn`t change a thing and it`s exactly what i wanted to see! Rob.

This movie was absolutely rich with power. It was incredible-I am a fan of the Phantom of the Opera and though at first the singing doesn`t seem to add up to the singing on the CD, this movie will blow you away. Top notch.

This was one of the best movies I have seen this year. When I read the unfavorable reviews by some of the critics (i.e.: the New York Times) I was a little wary to see this movie production of one of my favorite plays. However, from the first moment to the last second, I was struck by how closely it follows the play, with a few extras here and there! This is an absolute MUST-SEE! Ignore the bad reviews. See this movie and revel in the beautiful singing, excellent acting, and beautiful cinematography.

Very good movie, but not as good as the stage version. Anyways, let`s be a little sensible though. It was a good movie. The songs were, as usual brilliant to listen to. Acting was great, but there were alteration made in the songs and slight alterations in the story line. I can`t agree with the alterations. Some songs were compromised. As good as the actors were, they were not as good as SARAH BRIGHTMAN and MICHAEL CRAWFORD. Michael Crawford still stands alone as the original and the best Phantom ever and Sarah Brightman the original and the best Christine Daae. Emmy Rossum was brilliant but there were times I felt that she couldn`t quite per
