  This movie is basically "Dances with Wolves" but with aliens, however James Cameron has always pushed special effects to the next level and does not disappoint. Using a new system of motion capture that allows action to be directed as if shot live will revolutionize future movies, and I look forward to his two planned Avatar sequels.

  Anybody who rates it less than 5 stars is doing so just to play devils advocate. An absolutely incredible movie, whether or not the plot was completely original. Best movie of 2009, in my opinion.

  I don't like fantasy movies...but this movie...the story is shear genious, the movie in 3D makes you feel as though you're there. it makes you feel good. the world is amazing. it doesnt come across as a "fantasy" honestly one of the best movies i've ever seen

  Absolutely amazing movie!! Best one I have seen in a very long time. Simply breathtaking.
