  Can anyone tell me why a movie that cost $500-million is "borrowing" the roar from the much-denigrated 70's version of KING KONG?!?! Every time I heard KONG wail in AVATAR I cracked up! It may be time to re-evaluate the '76 KONG if huge productions such as AVATAR are going to pay homage to it...

  The movie gets an "A" for effort, but if it's true that James Cameron spent 15 years on this film, there should've been more to the story than the typical Pocahontas/Dances with Wolves storyline or the original Avatar for that matter. Good job in constructing an epic, but went overboard with the hype.

  Bored to death - derivitive and too long - every scene could have been shorter plot -thin and predictable Pretty to see but that is about it
