I was pleasantly surprised by this movie. Overall it more than met my expectations. I really dislike Kristen Stewart as Bella and the cinematography was a bit ridiculous and over the top. But the Cullens were amazingly cast and all their scenes were awesome. And I loved the end scene with James and Edward, it was incredible. I was really impressed, I am so excited for the next ones!

I am a big fan of the book. I wish that it would have been Directed by someone other than Catherine Hardwicke. I didn't like the director's style at all, the music, camera shots were all a little weird. The actors were amazing and perfect to match the book. One more thing I want to add, If you didn't read the book (like my husband) don't expect to understand everything. You need someone to explain to you their "special power" and they way they are etc.. or you wont "get it" most of the time.

To those who are disappointed and giving this movie a bad review... well get over it!!! The book or any other book for that matter is and will always be better than the movie. I for one have read all the twilight books and I love them, but I did not put high expectation on the movie because I know my own imagination and interpretation of the book is much better than anyone elses, despite it I love the movie and they did a great job despite the low budget and weather conditions they have shoot it from and the time frame they need to squeeze the 500 or so pages in 2hrs.

The movie is a must see. I love it, and I read all the books. The fact is, any movie made base from a book will never be as good as the book. Your own interpretation and imagination of reading a book is always better, but give the director credit, she did great and more power to her in creating her version to the screen. It's as close as it can get for the time frame and budget they have. I can't wait for New Moon and the rest of the book to be put on screen.

I liked this movie a lot! I think you just need to keep an open mind about it and not worry about it going along with the book exactly. Very enjoyable.

As a huge fan of the book it's hard to be objective with the movie. I think that they did an amazing job of casting. The actors all did fantastic jobs with their roles. I also thought that they tried to stay true to the novel. However a lot of teh dialoge felt really rushed. A huge part of why people love these books is the witty and romantic rapore between Edward and Bella. I found much of that was lost in translation, and poeple who have not read the books may not see that passion and self-loathing that these characters possess. I was also a little disappointed with the way it looked like the vampires could fly. We know they can jump far, but they still have to follow the laws of g
