As a big fan of the Twilight series I can honestly say that I was extremely disapointed in this movie. Although I can appreciate what Catherine Hardwicke was trying to put across, and how difficult it probably was, the majority of it was a failure. Parts of the movie were so on point (and had me singing the movies praises) and others were completely oblvious (which made me look at it more objectively). Robert Pattinson was an excellent choice as Edward, although he clearly outdid himself in some scenes and fell short in others. His look and his portrayal of someone in pain was great. The rest of the cast I was a little disappointed in, especially the role of Rosalie. Unfortunatley Nikk

I am not a teen girl, but fell in love with the characters. At first I thought Edward was the hottie, now watching it again Emmett and Jasper are rocking my world!

No, a movie can't be the book. That doesn't mean the whole basis of the book should be overlooked. There is no relationship development between Edward and Bella. What happened to the happy, fun times they had? The meadow scene and Edward's "sparkle" was a HUGE letdown. No relationship between Bella and Alice. The film was choppy, the acting and speech of the characters was stilted, bad acting, directing and filming, overpowering bad music in parts...don't tell me I'm not a fan, I read all four books in less than a week, barely sleeping or eating. Big movie buildup for a big letdown. Where is the passion, the longing, the special relationship of Bella and Edward? An extremely poor portraya

horribly shot, horrible acting, dreadful source material, and the cheesiness was unreal. everything that could go wrong with a movie all wrapped up into one package.

Ok let me just say that I have seen this movie 3 times but only cuz I am in love with Robert Pattinson and i do find him a very good actor and right for the job. Yes Edward is described as impossibly beautiful so no actor on the planet could have done him justice, but I think Rob does a good job. Kristen Stewart as Bella is GOD AWFUL I will say, she is a horrible actress and she seems to go into convulsions instead of doing her lines. Awful awful actress..i wish they would replace her. That being said, the movie does not compare to the book but NO MOVIE ever does..look at the Harry Potter movies.. It is a good movie for what it is, but I do hope with the new director it will take a different
