this movie was such a waste of time. i am huge war movie fan but this was a horrible take on war. I actually went in expecting a movie with no story but this was bad. except for staff Sr, it seemed all the marines were holding a gun for the first time. do not go to this movie.

I enjoyed this movie. Watch it for what it is...an alien invasion movie. Don't expect an Academy Award or something for this, because if you do, go watch something else....I recommend this movie to anyone who enjoys action. Well done!

This movie was more like a video game then a movie, The story line was very slow and almost nonexistant so just go out for dinner and skip this movie.

Great Movie! As far as alien invasion movies go, this one is by far the most realistic one made as of yet. From start to finish its filled with great action, incredible special effects and believable dialogue. The method of filming makes you feel as if you were right there with them, urging them on and gripping your seat in anticipation. If you want a great Sci-Fi action movie, this is it. If you want a movie with deeper seated meaning then this isn't the movie for you.

Great popcorn action movie with cool effects. It was kind of filmed like Black Hawk Down.

Story kinda takes a turn, you think it's just about invasion but 3/4 way through the movie they tried to make it about the struggle/duty of being in the military. Should have promoted it that way. Really the story line followed that, it didn't really matter who they were fighting. Like the director was trying to decide which story he wanted to capture?
