i thought the actors were really good, the story was well played but it went by too fast and i felt like big parts of the book were missing. i wonder how much people who haven't read the book will understand the real purpose of the movie.

i didn't read the books, reviews, or synopsis of the film. i planned on walking into the theater completely blind from knowing what "the hunger games" was about because i didn't want to get caught up in the craze, thinking it was receiving more hype than was deserved. i was blown away by this film. it was fantastic, intricate, and astounding. i loved it so much i even went out and bought the soundtrack. five stars well deserved.

got dragged to this movie by my girlfriend. not having read the book i didn't have any expectations, but this movie did not entertain me in any way. found it very dry and boring.
if you haven't read the book and haven't been drawn in by the hype then don't bother with this one...
