Very much a time capsule movie about the soul music coming to England in the 70's while disco may be flourishing in American clubs. Mass production of records made DJ's mini celebrities. Many white English were passionate about African Americans music and break from the establishment after the 60's love revolution fizzled out. This movie is just a glimpse into that time period. The acting was really good and I found, as funny as it is, kinda like how it would eventually overlap and graduate to clubs in New York and LA during the 80's (with sex and drugs so prevalent), to the 90's rave scene (where DJ's now make the music). I feel we are waiting for the next big thing in dance!
