    The Woman King

Historical revisionism on the level which should be scientifically impossible. Orwell´s quote "Who controls the past controls the future" has never been more relevant. The people who think this movie is "informative" are so brainwashed it hurts.

Are giving a bad review because the movie was done very well. It made them feel very uncomfortable. That was the point. If you want sing songs and feel good stuff, go watch that.

    Juwanna Mann

Monday, December 1, 2025 1:32:42 PM | (Age Not Specified)

Nuñez Jr. lights up the screen in this clever and classic sports comedy. Whether making moves on or off the court, he's savvy as a man and irresistibly sexy as a woman. Viveca Fox and Kevin Pollack lend strong support, and Tommy Davidson is hilarious as that horny sidekick who wants to be more than just friends with Juwanna. You'll be rooting for him to win Juwanna's heart and hand before the final buzzer goes...

    Sentimental Value

A remarkable piece of filmmaking. Ambitious and confident as any film released this century. Exhilarating.

    Franklyn

70/100 A very clever story of 4 individuals - a masked gumshoe in a dystopian world, a man searching for his son, a self-destructive artist, and a jilted fiancé - and how they eventually collide. It's unfortunate that the main characters have a real lack of personality making much of their stories rather lifeless and dull (I almost turned it off) but it was interesting to spot the connections as they are slowly revealed and, in the end, it was certainly worth the watch. Surprisingly good entertainment ...especially considering this was a completely random movie selection. -- DrNostromo.com

    Happy Hunting

Sunday, November 30, 2025 10:54:43 PM | (Age Not Specified)

41/100 An alcoholic, on his way to Mexico, stops in a small border town and finds himself the prey in a hunt. This movie is so flat, there's few adjectives to describe it. It's not thrilling or suspenseful. No tension. No humor. No witty or quotable dialogue. Neither the film nor anyone in it has any personality. It's not terrible but there's really nothing about it that's worth mentioning. And, after all that, the ending was a huge let down. And RT gave it 100%?? I don't get it. I don't think they were watching the same movie. You want to see a film like this, go watch "Desierto". -- DrNostromo.com

    X-Men: Apocalypse

Sunday, November 30, 2025 10:42:33 PM | (Age Not Specified)

67/100 Another excellent entry in the X-Men universe. Whereas "X-Men: First Class" brought a few of the first X-Men together, this one brings in a lot of characters that we know and love and pits them against probably the most ancient and dangerous mutant ever: Apocalypse. Once again, Bryan Singer tells a complex story masterfully and the spec fx never cease to amaze. -- DrNostromo.com

    mother!

Sunday, November 30, 2025 10:34:34 PM | (Age Not Specified)

29/100 A writer and his wife (who's renovating their home after a fire) keeps having unexpected, and destructive visitors parading through their house. This film was unsettling and uncomfortable from the word go. I had some idea of what was happening in the opening scene but I rejected that notion as it seemed to obvious. In the end, I was right ...making the whole thing futile and pointless. Plus, there's elements in the film that seem to serve no purpose. A very well made film that I'm sure others will praise but I really disliked it. -- DrNostromo.com
