    Wuthering Heights

We have all seen Margo Robbie nude in enough movies already! Damages our ability to see her in many roles, especially Catherine Earnshaw. Wuthering Heights was required reading in high school, we know what the story should be.

    Undertone

Waiting for a big ending 8s what this should be called. And, when it arrives... Why must horror movies constantly have a religious theme? Get some originality, please. The actress is good, kept it from getting 1 star.

    Battle Royale

75/100 A Japanese film about a government sanctioned contest where a 9th grade class is dropped on a deserted island and the last one alive gets to go home. I found the film to be quite entertaining partly because it was exactly what I expected it to be ...a well above average example of the "last-man-standing" concept. Much better than most, it presents a good deal of satire along with being quite bloody violent. The characters were quiet colorful, each with their own personality, baggage and angle of attack. Good stuff. Let the slaughter begin! -- DrNostromo.com

    Minions: The Rise of Gru

Monday, March 9, 2026 4:43:46 PM | (Age Not Specified)

62/100 Basically an origin story of Gru's growth from teen to super villain ...with remarkably little effort from the minions. Odd that they would call it a minions movie when the emphasis of the story is not on them ...but I digress. This was fun for the familiarity of the characters, they're always fun to watch, and loaded with lots of humor with an occasional laugh-out-moment, but it isn't quite as imaginative or entrancing as previous efforts leaving us less than fulfilled at the end. In fact, I've already forgotten a good deal of it. Still worth a watch if you like the characters. -- DrNostromo.com

    Hamnet

Monday, March 9, 2026 2:01:26 AM | (Age Not Specified)

I don’t get it, why do people “hate” this movie? Especially the second half is really an emotional roller coaster ride. There are absolutely gorgeous performances by Jessie Buckley, the Jupi brothers and their sisters, and also Emily Watson as the grandmother. Can’t get tired of it!

    All About the Money

Sunday, March 8, 2026 10:28:30 PM | (Age Not Specified)

59/100 One of three friends, all of whom are living miserable lives, tricks the other two into capturing a major drug lord for the $25mil reward. This film was crude, but not too crude, zany, but not too zany, far fetched, but not too far fetched, a simple story, but not too simple... Basically, it's one of the more balanced comedies I've seen with truly likable and memorable characters and some genuinely funny laugh-out-loud moments. Done improperly, this could have been a silly waste of time but they did a great job and I found it extremely entertaining. -- DrNostromo.com

The best thing about it was the two naps I had. The worst thing was waking up.
