I didn't have any expectations going into this so my mind wasn't poisoned. I think Mamoa and Bautista had actual brotherly love. The back and forth banter was funny but Mamoa from the start was the comedy of the movie. He's actually hilarious and it seemed natural. Bautista, I could actually understand why he felt so stiff and reserved due to his character being in the Navy. He fit perfectly. Stephen Root seemed out of place, but I always like him. I felt like he was found on vacation and asked to make a couple cameo scenes and try his best to be intimidating. All this talk of whitewashing and it was nice to see that you can have so many Polynesian people starring in a movie and it absolutely worked. Good action and gore but one scene on the highway with the guy against the barrier and one arm in the minivan....um that was a new one. I had to rewind and show my wife. Give it a watch and have fun.
Manipulative for sure, but many will shed a tear. The feeling of death was well done in this movie. You could feel the loss and the actors did their best to give life to the screenplay about a mysterious period of time. There are moments where the story struggles, because we don't know much about Anne Hathaway. The weaker scenes feel anachronistic. Wikipedia: "Historian Katherine Scheil describes Hathaway as a 'wife-shaped void' used by modern writers 'as a canvas for expressing contemporary woman's struggles—over independence, single motherhood, sexual freedom, unfaithful husbands, woman's education and power-relations between husband and wife.'" As a meditation on facing death, that's where the movie has its strengths.
I didn’t want to see this movie, went with a friend. I was absolutely shocked how packed it was. I was surprised to find it entertaining and a date stamp in time. I learned a little about Melania, her family, staff and the behind scenes of the White House and day to day snippets of what they “want you to see”. Barron looked traumatized after the near assassination of his father, looking around in fear at events. Melania is a tough cookie, hard to see who she really is, wonder if that wall ever comes down? Her husband on the other hand, well he’s too in the face transparent and can be amusing at times. I liked the movie, visuals, music (she likes Michael Jackson) was great too. I bet a lot of people rating this movie didn’t even see it.
Went to see this because I know the owner of our local theater complex and he offered free admission to people he knows, stating he is losing money on it. I can see why. Laughable how reviewers (righties) are trying to convince anyone this is a good movie, that this so called “family” is so close when this fake woman doesn’t even live with her pedophile husband. Some call her classy ? Laughable. They need to go online and see her nude pictures, that is the true Melania, only in it for the money, just like the entire trump family grifters.
really makes you think about the future… With A I !!
Nothing but propaganda
An excellent movie which showcases the voices, power and excitement of Stray Kids. Their talent is limitless and amazing. Their energy off the charts. I loved it!
this movie is sooo dumb everyone left
Grace. Poise. Humble. Supportive. Loves and fights for the children. Works to retrieve people left behind. Multi tasks. Steady & ready.Always. Trump says to his staff before the inauguration, “… Knock em dead!”😏 45 through 47. Punctuation matters. Favorite artist? “Michael Jackson” “Billie Jean”. Think inauguration suit/hat, as she peers at all the smooth criminals there. Disinformation necessary. ‘Movie scene’. ‘Who will dance in the round, The kid is not….’ Within their private moments after all the inauguration events, Pres. Trump points at the label on framed art and reads aloud, “In honor of John Kennedy”. 😏WYKYK Her inauguration ball dress was highlighted so much, as an honor nod to this Z Special Unit & JKF & Jr. Quoting her last line in this doc, “Move forward with purpose and of course style.” (stilettos = weapons). Let’s go!
I didn't care for the 2 couples, and CLOUDia. Beautiful scenery and music. Good message about not marrying because you fear being alone. Mostly implausible, but enjoyable none the less.
