    Sentimental Value

Thoroughly enjoyed this movie. An interesting story about almost every emotion; sadness, anger, regret, love and so on. All of the performances are fantastic, especially Stellan Skarsgard who is overdue for some Oscar attention.

    Die My Love

I saw this movie yesterday. I had read reviews on another website before seeing the movie. Some of them wrote they walked out before the show ended. Others said they did not understood the movie's plot. Some said they saw the movie was all about postpartum depression. Others said the movie might be disturbing to some viewers. Lawrence's performance might have been too good because some viewer comment was in left field saying the movie was about domestic violence (DV). None of that in the definitional sense of the term occurred. It was a descent into madness mistaken as DV. My take. I nearly walked out of the movie very early on. At first I could barely stand to watch it. I could see how some viewers wondered about the plot. It was not until the last 20-30 minutes that it all made sense. Lawrence was depicting an individual with a mental disorder first and foremost that may have been mistaken as total postpartum depression. The mental disorder conclusion is in the details. These details are brought up after she is committed for mental evaluation likely at the suggestion of her husband (Pattetson). During her psychiatric interview(s) after she is committed, it comes out the she suffers from anxiety but mainly severe abandonment (issues) a mental disorder. That is why she says she would never hurt the baby. Her and the baby have superb emotional attachment to one another. But not seeing her husband as much as she "needed", making her feel insecure and more anxiety. When family and friends made supportive comments to her she went off the rails. Those comments bothered her. Postpartum depression brought the depression element clearly onto the scene and raised the stakes. This will eventually lead to her suicide (noted below). Page 1 of 2.

I walked out 50 minutes in. This topic should not get the "hollywood" treatment. Don't put flowers on a pile of s..., keep it as serious.

Excellent action movie. Only 6 people in the theater. If people don't smarten up and go see these movies I doubt there will be any new movies at theaters. I can say the same about The Running Man
