Teens making an 8mm movie witness a horrific train crash that's carrying something alien. Never paid attention to this film and recently saw an old trailer so my wife and I checked it out. What a delightfully fun film this was. The kids were excellent and acted like real genuine kids. The spec fx were good, especially the train wreck, and the alien was sufficiently grotesque and monstrous. The story was well handled making the military conspiracy at the center of it all as malevolent as the alien while giving us some truly emotional and heartfelt moments. Nicely done! -- DrNostromo.com

'Best film of the year'?? lol I've seen hundreds of movies and this is up in the top 5 for being the worst I've ever seen. Dull, boring, slow, gross, etc etc. I watched it at twice the speed so thankfully I didn't waste a lot of time.

I LOVE Hugh Jackman. Kate Hudson is new to me but she is awesome, too. So glad this is not another sad sack true life rags to riches tale. It's really about Neil Diamond's music and there's a lot of it done well.

More for Halloween than Christmas but it was entertaining and not spooky. I don't do horror so this was just right. Thriller is the best description. Reminded me of "Wait Until Dark" and "Fatal Attraction." Nicely done.

Went to this with the family. We were all laughing so hard. Good enjoyable movie, what we needed, entertainment. Nothing more, nothing less. Family, popcorn and an entertaining movie in the theater. Couldn't ask for more.
