I was looking foward to the movie but on the whole I was disapointed ,the fx`s were good but the story was weak and if I have to listen to Dakota Fanning scream one more time I will happily give myself to the martians,batman and star wars were by far better movies

5 stars. i was expecting tom cruise to be like some macho man, like he is in all of his movies, a perfect dad, a perfect man basically. but they actually made him realistic, a not very good dad, and not a really good personality. he was a real life middle aged divorced man. acting was superb. loved the plot.

this movie was very good, amazing. very good special effects, amazing acting (surprisingly), and really scary plot. kudos to steven spielberg. however some places were weak, but what you gonna do when you build such a huge plot. e.g. the ending was pretty weird and sudden, but after some thinking and discussion it made sense, however they could have made it a bit stronger.

Yoda level Masterful. You felt within 10 minutes you were in the movie... and it did not let you go until the end. The true horror of this event was communicated perfectly - you could feel it and have empathy for the people - not many films can do this. Truly intense - you are right there. Parents ... NO kiddies - save on shrink`s bills. Very well done. 5/5. The ending was abrupt - could have used another 1/2 hour to finish it right - but the ending was believable.
