Just watched it right now. I loved it ! A lot better than Noah ... I loved the plagues (not literally) the costumes, the make up and the crossing of the sea...I absolutely hated the idea of using a child to represent God. Children to me are put far too up on a pedestal in society and I don't think they're as innocent as people would want everyone to believe I do think that any human to play God is not exactly blasphemous but it irks me and kind of annoys me. They should have just left it as a burning bush with some voice ...oh well, no movie is perfect. Would highly recommend anyone to see it though.

I think I expected so much more with the way graphics are done today but was very disappointed. For example, the "parting of the water" was actually better on the original movie done with Charleton Heston. And, where was Moses' shepherd's rod that he used to part the water AND turn the Nile in blood red???? Everything happened one after the other so fast WITHOUT Moses warning Ramses to "LET MY PEOPLE GO!!!!". I definitely liked the older version.

Not historically accurate and insulting. God pictured as an 8 year old kid with Moses arguing with him was too much. Moses was portrayed as brain damaged and the plagues as scientific coincidences. Wasted my money, wait for the rental, or skip it.

Most true films originated from a book, go by what is written. The most important Book, the Bible, which this movie is taken from, was not represented correctly. Please read Exodus from the Bible, if you plan on seeing this film.

I actually hated this movie and thought of walking out but realIzed to be able to make a fair judgement, for lack of better words, I needed to watch it in its entirety. I, of course hated how God was portrayed. It was idiotic that He was not only portrayed as a little boy, but than that he a tually asked Moses for his opinion on some matter, as if God--the Creator of the heavens and the earth--would ever have any need to ask anyone their opinion on anything. (he not only doesn't need it to make a decision but, He already knows our thoughts). Much crucial dialogue, i thought, was deliberately omitted, between God and Moses regarding the 10 plagues. Also, it was made to appear as though Moses

The movie strayed to far from the truth. For example, when Moses approached the burning bush, they filmed God as being a little boy. When God parted the Red Sea, the Jews crossed over in 3 feet of water. The bible said, "they cross it on dry ground". Why can't they stick with the Script, the Bible? The movie Noah, was the same thing, not sticking with the Script. The movie "The Bible" starring Charleston Heston, did the best job.

Great Movie Thoroughly enjoyed it. Although there were aspects not found in the Bible they represented what could have happened in those days and times, and did not change the ultimate message. I loved the way the plagues were presented and as for the wise young boy representing God.....who knows. By all means read Exodus in its many versions but the message is still the same...Trust in God and he will lead you ...in his time.....

If you are a Christian and know the real story from the Bible, you will not be impressed with this movie! It takes obviously intentional literary license, and the story does NOT follow the Scriptures in all the most important ways. What a disappointment that Hollywood felt the necessity to water it down so much to sell it. The only positive for me was the cinematography which was quite good.
