“Home Run” touches ‘em all

I recently went with close friends to see a movie entitled "Home Run." It is a small-budget film featuring mostly unknown actors. So I wasn’t expecting "Citizen Kane" or "The Godfather Part II." But "Home Run" hit home with me like no other film I have ever seen. It is the story of a pro baseball player whose alcohol-fueled destructiveness lands him in a Christ-centered, Bible-based, 12-step program called Celebrate Recovery. "Home Run" insightfully touches the bases of big hurts, homecoming, and healing. Two thumbs up for this edifying masterpiece and both hands held high in praise of the redemptive grace of the Lord Jesus Christ.

surprisingly "real" and genuine feeling. Lots of blunt one liners that hint at the emotional baggage and struggles not seen. Refreshingly hopeful--well-worth the money.

This worthless flick stole 1 hour of my life berfoe I got up and left. The most boring flick I've ever started to witness. That is unless you care about some jerk who made big as a movie star, has everything the world has to offer, but nothing as to the quality of his on life. Unless you are into that type of thing, avoid this movie.

This movie was amazing!!! This movie really illustrated the power of God in the healing process. It really portrayed that even though people can seem like they have it all, and even trick themselves into believing life is great, that when there is a past hurt, and are left alone with it, it can fester and destroy from within and that it will never go away until it is properly dealt with. I believe this movie shows that how to properly deal. My friend and I completed the program they were talking about on the night we saw this, and it was the best way to celebrate our recovery! A must see :)

It showed an honest life view of how hurts habits and hang ups affect our lives, and how our Loving God will heal us and we are forgiven through Jesus.
