Well done sequel with a logical continuation of the first movie, interlinking more of Gwen‘s dream world with the real world and providing some more back story. I agree that it won’t make much sense without having seen the first part. Acting is superb again, and they got the color grading right for a change this time. I could have done with a little less gore, but it’s a horror movie after all. Bring a pot of warm tea, it’s mostly shot in a snowy and icy world!

First, you need to see the first Black phone movie to make any kind of sense out of this sequel. Watching this on its own will make no sense. The movie was decent, not as good as the first but still worth seeing. I would not call out scary but if you saw the first one it is worth watching.

A fair to middling horror type film. I, however, like to support the Canadian film industry. Not very often, as well, do you see films shot in the winter. Very Canadian, although they state it is in the US.

First half was way too slow. Second half, just not authentic like the first movie. I was expecting it to kinda stink, and it did.

It's a good follow up. The tension is fairly high. Even has a couple funny parts. The two teen actors continue with top-notch performances. Got some Nightmare on Elm St. vibes. Maybe a 3rd movie? Not as great as the 1st, but still really good.
