  Beautifully done. Delved into the eccentricities of the kings life and the etiquette of how court was handled in France in the 1700s. Some very interesting, and humorous, customs. Jeanne's life was difficult at best. The king, Johnny's part, seemed sad a lot, due to the restraints on his personal life. Johnny and Maiwenn were superb. Would see it again if it was a bit closer.

  What disappointed me the most was the lack of marketing for this movie. I almost missed it. I thoroughly enjoyed it. A departure for Johnny and he mastered it beautifully as did all the characters. Congratulations Maiwenn. Yiu won’t be disappointed.

  What a gorgeous movie. Johnny’s french is so beautiful. Maiwenn did a fantastic job writing and directing this movie. Johnny will always be my King <3

  The romance, the performances and the scenery. This movie is very well done. Johnny Depp is remarkable speaking French, and says more with his eyes and facial expressions than most actors do with dialogue. Maiwewenn is perfect in her role.
