  Fun from the 1970s. Matthau is good as always. Tatum was good too and cute and I think this was before she became a cokehead. Jackie Earle Haley was good too, but ugly. He was an ugly boy who grew up to be an ugly man. He had something of a career in the 1970s, but the demand for ugly child actors evaporated so Haley left the industry to become a Boogeyman. He returned to acting as an adult (winning acclaim for his performances in Watchmen, Little Children, et al) but kept his Boogeyman job as a side gig. My daughter said that he lives in her bedroom closet.

  I loved this movie when I was a kid! I just found it on DVD and it`s as good as I remember it. Tatum O`Neal did an outstanding job, as did Walter Matthau (as endearing as ever) and all the kids.
