it was an enjoyable story to watch with scenic Mt Everest shots mixed in with too-wet-snowy studio greensceening cgi (multiple lamps cast for lousy sun shadows: fuzzy at the head & upper body, but solid down at lower body/legs/feet) real sunshadows are solid head to toe! otherwise the make-believe we're-there was good enough to not be too distracting. plus when it gets sub-zero freezing, snow is so dry it never sticks to clothes unless it is poorly insulated or close to moisture of ones mouth+nose+eyes or bared skin. I'm surprised at how primitive breathing apparatus are given how important it is for such dangerously low O2 levels are at such high mountain altitudes. sad to see lives lost; i

Overall disappointing. The first half was a snooze fest; even the second half wasn't anything to write home about. The only thing that was ok was the 3D at times. The movie doesn't live up to the hype.
