Pro- prior life up to the event of 3 people, ordinary people. The flash back tie-ins to the event were teaching moments. These 3 weren't extraordinary in anything other than a sense of community. They only wanted to belong. In an extraordinary moment- they only brought their frailty with them. Con- spent too much time trying to get audience to empathize, or identify, with their awkward childhoods. Might be a reach for 12 year olds raised on a diet of DC/Marvel comicstrip/action/adventure movies.

I plan on seeing this movie this evening. I don't always read reviews before seeing a movie. For this one I did. I have seen many many servicemen and women movies. I have read and own many similar non-fiction books/audiobooks, movies, and documentaries (Vietnam, Delta, Seals, Rangers, Infantry, Combat, Air Defense, World Wars, you name it). One of the things I enjoyed in many of these works (those that that provided background information) was the background story of the heros whose life stories are being told and how they got to be a hero. To those heros that day in Paris, your service is honored, your acts were courageous. I can't wait to see your movie.

We truly appreciate what these 3 friends and hero's did but it was a very poorly written movie and soooooooo slow. My husband actually fell asleep in the middle. The last 10 minutes were great. This did not seem like a Clint Eastwood directed movie whatsoever.

No No No! Sorry, I do appreciate the heroism and concern for community and humanity, but the story was sooooo poorly written. You are taken on a bizarre excursion via excerpts of the heros growing up and globe trotting. You are left wondering when the heck something is going to happen and why the excessive patchwork of life events just to get to the climax of the true story! Made no sense to drag it out and completely disregard continuity. This could have been such an amazing movie, but it's truly a swing and a miss!! People were walking out during the movie...that says it all.

Sorry, was expecting more. There is no need to sit through the first 85 minutes of the movie if you're looking for action. The rest is just their life stories from grade school to the train ride. Go and see another movie first and then walk in to this movie just before it ends.
