I thought the movie was pretty good, my date ended up crying pretty hard at the end and I myself had struggled to fight back the tears. Helen Mirren's portrayal of Maria Altmann was absolutely fantastic. She was not only funny as character who was indecisive and outspoken, but very lovable and charming, especially in her one on one interactions with Ryan Reynolds character. In certain instances you see her character act as a mother figure to Ryan Reynolds by cleaning a smudge on his jacket or preparing him a meal. These scenes makes you feel a strong bond between that the two characters, that is revealed through the course of the film, is extended by their close family histories. Helen M

The film is based on a true story, a woman takes on the whole country of Austria in the drama, Woman in Gold. She hires an inexperienced attorney named Randol Schoenberg (Ryan Reynolds) to advise her chances of getting the painting back. He goes to Austria with her and when the government turns them down, they reluctantly return to the

Thank you so much for giving me the opportunity to see this movie. I took my 12 year old son with me and he enjoyed it as well. He is interested in WW2 and Hitler and this was an appropriate movie as well for my son. I love movies that are based on true events. The two main characters were well cast. The movie went back and forth between the present and flashbacks back to how it all happened. This was well done. It makes one think about all the different ways that war has affected people. I liked how the movie ended.

I thoroughly enjoyed Woman In Gold. The sense of loss that Helen M portrays and then the very real feeling that although a wrong had been righted the pain of that wrong doesn't go away. The flashback sequences were beautifully done. Over all a terrific movie
