Amazing! Although the cast was mainly youth, the storyline and emotions conveyed in the film were timeless. This was one of the best films of the year!!! I was reminded of the classic film the GOONIES because of the themes of friendship, love, family, and adventure that both films contained. LOVED IT!!!

Well written, great actors, fast action, great family movie (but a little scary for the really young). I thought character development was very well done.

Got to say, just saw this and it was really well done. A more grown up version of E.T.
It is well worth the money to see it on big screen, unlike some of the movies that have come out.

A cheesy movie with poor plot and character development. You're left with lots of questions in the end that aren't answered. It could have been far better written and edited. Too long for such an incomplete storyline! And I wouldn't take kids to see it if they are the least bit anxious. Lots of cheap scary moments.

Spielberg should stick to directing, The story is lacking in so many ways. It missed the mark, thank god i went on a tuesday at a cheap rate it is the only thing i felt good about. You don't identify with the alien because you neveer find out a thing about him.
