First off the movie was great and all the kids did an amazing acting job. Also for anyone who saw the movie, was the kitchen in the Deputys house the same from ET? And lastly for the person who compared this to district 9 are you an ID*OT....? These two movies have nothing in common other then an alien. You cant compare movies just because theres an alien...wow go get educated.

I aboustly can say i have not seen a movie this fantastic since e.t. This movie is a combination of stand by me, and E.T. Aboustly has humour, suspense, and mystery. Great!

I think Spielberg has run out of new ideas so is rehashing E.T., Goonies, and War of the Worlds. Good action, but premise was lame imho. I'd have waited for video if I know now, what I knew before I paid to see it.

I really loved this movie. It was a cross between Goonies, Close Encounters, and ET. While not for small kids, this movie has enough action and adventure for most ages.

Well done fun movie with just enough action, humour, and scary stuff to keep it interesting. Elle Fanning steals every scene she's in. It's worth going to see for sure. Don't pay attention to the ultra negative reviews, they must have seen a different movie.
