This is by far the biggest surprise hit of the summer. Never have I come across a sci-fi movie driven by such a captivating story and not over the top special effects. The effects were so good in fact that both the aliens and their technology were believable and never seemed beyond the scope of reality like most sci-fi films. In addition having the aliens come to earth as refugees and not superior conquerors was a brilliant twist to a film genre in need of something new and fresh. Bravo! 11 out of 10. Can't wait for District 10 and the District 9 DVD.

I thought this movie was great.I like how it was filmed partly documentary style and was acted out as if it were a true story.The plot/story line was smart and I thought the aliens and action sequences looked very realistic.
