A mixed bag that's still quite entertaining. Zalman King is an unusual choice of protagonist, always seeming detached and on edge. His character's name -Zipkin- is more suited to a comedy character than a dramatic lead. The beginning of the film is bogged down by continually dragging us back to the same location. It does get maddening...we can't escape! A talking bird provides a valuable clue. Maniac in the disco finale. LSD is the villain. One-of-a-kind.
