As far as saying this is the best horror movie of all time,is probably a little much. A good movie all in all. It didn't really start to get scarey until the end, and even had some comical parts throughout the movie. 4 Stars, which is good considering the movie was made in 7days by 3 people in the directors house.

i saw the midnight screening this past weekend.
people called it the blair witch of our time... TOTAL UNDERSTATEMENT I TELL YOU! let's say blair witch was 3-7% scary throughout the whole movie, Paranormal Activity was the complete opposite.. i'd say about 90% the use of tripod 85% of the time spared me the dizziness (like cloverfield)
the beginning was not scary (of course, they had to introduce the character, etc etc)
this movie was so scary that the whole audience in the movie theatre was genuinely scared. half the people screamed, gasped, etc during the "night scenes"
this low budget film showed that the entertainment industry can still produce something that is horri

If anyone has ever experienced sleep paralysis, then this is a must see. It could compliment that former expereince. DO go see it alone, also I'd recommend seeing the movie Drag Me To Hell. Happy Halloween everyone!!!

It sounds intense from the comments so far, but I have to see it myself.I think the movie SCANNERS had the same hype back in the early 80's, but I'm planning to see this one sometime soon, then I'll post a different comment. Hope I'm not dissapointed. I'm not going to rate it any stars beforehand either.

a tad bit slow in the beginning but kept me on the edge of my seat after the first 30 mins. Finally a horror movie that doesn't contain unnecessay nudity, cheezy lines, and blood and guts.
