This movie was a lot of fun—funny with great casting, and the actors delivered solid performances. Do I consider it an epic film like Avengers? No—but it’s not trying to be. It lives in its own unique comic universe, and James Gunn did a fantastic job bringing the story to life.
For those who criticized the trailer: the movie isn’t what you might expect. It all makes sense once you watch it. The character isn’t weak—you just need to understand the context of what’s going on.
Don’t compare it to cinematic epics like Man of Steel—this film wasn’t made in that style. But if you’re familiar with Gunn’s work, you know to expect great storytelling and sharp humor. I definitely recommend seeing it.

Superman was very nerdy and uncool. Lex Luther was too political and glorified pure evilness like Dr Evil played by Mike Myers in Austin Powers. The whole thing was a messy romp where the movie felt unnecessary and impractical.

Tired theme and plot to go with average acting. Throw in the glorification of the bad guys and the political drivel, and I was sorry I wasted my time and money.

Henry Cavil's superman was for adults.
David Corenswet's superman is for children.
Glorifying evil like no other superman movie.
Lex Luthor and all his employees pure evil.
The endless bickering with Lois the endless fight against his clone.
Endlessly disappointing.
