  When I 1st saw the trailer it was interesting but but in hindsight I didn't think I would enjoy this movie...... Saw it saturday andit is an excellent film, I loved how they brought the Seventies N every part of the Movie and the acting was great as well., My only beef would be the misconception of Christianity and religion besides that love the film. I'm looking forward to seeing it again.

  I read this book when I was 11 & 12, right before I started my period in the 90s. Im 40 now, so I was delighted to see that they made this into a movie. Judy Blume is the best! & my only child just turned 11 last September, & she started her first period days before this movie came out!! It was too cool! So, we went to see this movie the day it came out on Friday, & my little girl had been on her first period for just 3 days! Wow. I bought her the book off of Amazon, & the seller sent me the original copies of a set of Judy Blume books! My daughter only read a little (dark the internet these days), but was very excited to see this! My mother came with us too, as she also grew up on Judy Blume, & when she was 10 or so, had read this in the 60s. We all had a blast! It was awesome! We were the only people at the matinee viewing in Gainesville, Florida, but we LOVED it!! We ate up every scene, & found ourselves laughing hysterically at the “we must, we must, we must increase our bust!” scenes! The acting was pretty good! & I would definitely watch it again, & we’ll buy it when it comes out on video. More movies should be veered toward pre-teen girls & teen girls, imo-told from their point of view. Not enough movies do that these days. “The little mermaid” just came out (also awesome!), but besides Disney movies, there’s not a lot out there told from a little girls eyes. I think this movie should’ve done better than it did. It was all around great 👍! 5 stars.

  I saw this movie with my adult girlfriends. I think it’s better suited for pre-teens and young teens.

  I liked everything about the movie it was so sad when her parents and grandparents were arguing and Margaret let them know how she felt

  Fun, Funny & a few tears. Eventually a secret club(there are requirements) of 4 pre-teens wanting to come into womanhood before their time & their adventures along the way.. A light & totally entertaining movie .rh

  Loved it. Abby Ryder Fortson has just an expressive face, I just wanted to hug her while she was going through the tricky parts of growing up. Very true to the book.
