Beautiful movie, a lot of atmosphere, a blend of an immigrant story with life in rural Arkansas. Also about generational conflicts and differences, where David and his Grandma find to each other in a great and uncomplicated way. It’s getting a bit sad towards the end, bit nevertheless a good story about love and resilience.

Ok, so I’m an immigrant myself, thus may have a somewhat unique perspective. This is a beautiful movie, demonstrating the struggle and cultural shock along with the need to succeed what you’ve come here for. It also shows the uncertainty of the second generation where to fit in very well. Great to see the growing relationship between David and his grandmother. Also love Paul as the weird but well-minded friend of the family. Don’t get the nay-sayers. Yes, it’s slow, but if you follow the pace it’s well worth watching it!

Could have been great, but not very well done with none of the actors to cheer for or like. Interesting story though.

Boring, depressing, slow, with a cute kid!
