71/100 An extremely realistic and ofttimes painful depiction of warfare mostly contained to a single setting as a group of navy seals are under siege in Ramadi, Iraq. Based on the memories of those that experienced it first-hand, it's violent, brutal and, although the events take place in real time, they were able to capture that feeling that the soldiers felt the siege going on for hours instead of only 90 mins. No theatrics, no explanation as to why they're there, no personal info about the people, no big action sequences, just raw warfare at its most savage and uncompromising. -- DrNostromo.com

Men at their worst doing something cruel and meaningless in someone else's house. It's like boys playing with dangerous toys. They acted it good.

Kept me awake but why? There's no explanation for the take-over of a residence. Some guys get hurt. No idea how or why the opposition is aware of their presence. Most of the time is spent trying to get the hurt guys out of the residence. We look at a chopped up leg on the street a whole lot. Why?

Depicts the courage of young men.The underlining message is the Military Industrial Complex and the Globalist want constant warfare and are totally responsible for this carnage. We can thank God that we now have a President that is avoiding this type of senseless involvement and at the same time cleaning up the neo cons and strengthening our military. Not a popcorn face stuffing movie.

Most of the film involves watching and listening to two wounded soldiers screeming and close ups of their gory wounds. No set up as to why the men are stationed in a random house-bait-most likely-but not explained. The soldiers to this viewer are over equipped with mikes and high tech rifles (which appear to kill no enemies), but no RPGs or grenades which could have swung the battle their way. Jets swooping feet above streets with little effect. No tanks, only Bradleys being only used to rescue the wounded and equipped with cannons to weak to penetrate concrete walls. If this is what U.S. forces were truly doing, it's no wonder the U.S. lost. Director Garland disappoints AGAIN.

I was in the military for years, and often file are very unrealistic, like a fantisy. This is very realistic and how is really is. Very intense.
