    Springsteen: Deliver Me from Nowhere

The timing of this movie couldn't be more wrong. Springsteen's politics are completely at odds with mainstream America today. Instead of galvanizing the worker bees to stand up and be counted, The People have chosen to embrace Donald Trump's populist brand of authoritarian rule, making Bruce's more traditional, working man's view of a nation undivided seem dated and old hat. It doesn't help that Springsteen hasn't had a hit in decades, leaving him something of an unknown quantity to contemporary audiences accustomed to autotuned K-pop confections and empty odes to cell phones and women with immense booties. As with his few remaining singer-songwriter brethren, Springsteen belongs to a different age, something the narrative of "Deliver Me From Nowhere" makes abundantly clear...

The movie was long and at times very boring. The portrayal of Springsteen was very one dimensional. He was portrayed as a brooding depressed man who needed professional help but there was very little that revealed the joys and highs of his career and life. I was very disappointed by this movie and I don’t believe that this was an accurate portrayal of the man and the huge impact that Bruce Springsteen has had on music and his loyal fans.

If you have been to his concerts, know his generous and gentle personality, you will love to see this part of his early life. Growing up in NJ, you know and love him! Scenes of the Boardwalk in Asbury Park, Ocean Grove, the beach, the ocean. Acting is amazing, Jeremy's voice mimics Bruce perfectly (Even Bruce says it!)

Hollywood once again takes the life story of a great artist and turns it into artless mediocrity. Springsteen deserves better, and the lead actor looked NOTHING like him

The lead actor looks enough like Springfield. The music was OK but sparse. The story was dull. I mean it's about depression so I guess it was supposed to be depressing but who needs it?

Thank God it's over. Would have chosen something else but it's October and full of spooky shows that I won't look at. Bring back summer.

I thought we were going to get more music. It was interesting to learning about this aspect of his life, but I went for his music. They should just take a concert available on youtube and play it after the movie. Give me Thunder Road!!!!
