It was a great movie, equally wonderful and tragic. I loved seeing the personal history's of composers whose music I grew up listening to. I admit the story haunted me. Ethan Hawke was amazing and I hope he is at the very least nominated for an oscar.

I laughed and felt pain in equal measure as I found myself lost in the mind of a lyricist who couldn't sell out. Ethan does something unreal in this film. Another great performance.

Sorry ,just didn't get it. Unhappy self hating homosexual .just a common alcoholic bore,droning on, everything I say is interesting.,what wit I am. Sad . Not the movie I wanted. We get death in an alley,not the sublime lyrics. Just low rent Woody Allen,,oh how did they get Ethan that short,yikes.
