I felt the Swedish version, (Director: Niels Arden Oplev Writers: Nikolaj Arcel (screenplay), Rasmus Heisterberg (screenplay), and 1 more credit » Stars:Michael Nyqvist, Noomi Rapace and Ewa Fröling )- was far better and on track with the original story.

I saw the Swedish version and it was so memorable and shocking of a story that I remember. However I found myself so drawn into this version as if I has not seen the other one. It kept at the edge of my seat with the fast pace, great visual portrayal of everything, great acting - this young actress Rooney Mara is a natural , a gem, unbelievably good and the directing ...come on ..Fincher is Fincher, a genius in telling the story perfectly well. Great movie all around.

Convincing and worthwhile decisions made on the part of several of the characters. Many false notes, but most of these tend to be excusable as exaggerations, rather than entirely impertinant. For one thing, it would not be possible for the woman to transfer 2 billion dollars in such a way, without being found out immediately. A torture studio such as that shown would be extremely problematic to set up for actual use. The characters, and their relationship, however, were believable enough, and it turned out in a reasonable way. The qua
