The synopsis is incorrect. Scarlett Johannson was not Dr. Marianna Cruz and not a brilliant scientist. She was an ex covert operative named Zora Bennett. My wife and I finally watched this last night and I have to say, I think the diminishing returns is happening. Of course DNA is central and how to get DNA? You must get it from the source. These dinos ALL started in a lab. Even if they originated from a parent dino, they are all genetically made. With all that happened in previous installments, this is a big plot gap that a powerful company needs to hire mercenaries to go get samples when they should have been able to break into a lab or something like that. Of course extracting the DNA is going to have the most exciting scenes, but honestly, the big bad dino in this movie looked like a cross of dino and Xenomorph but oddly was not that scary at all. I think jagged edges help make the creatures scary, not a bulbus head. It was ok, but not special and pretty predictable.

Great summer fun movie with an all new line up of dinos, monsters, and potential victims. Immersive landscapes and plenty of suspense. One of the better films of the Jurassic series. Has me already looking forward to the next one!

While I wasn't expecting peak cinema (it's a sequel after all); I was expecting more dinosaurs and more action. The first half of the movie focuses on interpersonal past trauma and drama of the main characters; there is also the introduction of a family. Despite the trailer making a big deal about a lab and a mutant dinosaur we only ever really get to that during the last 30 minutes of the film. I wanted to walk out but didn't want to waste my time trying to figure out how to get a refund. The teen guy character was the most unlikable dick bag I've ever seen been made in to a hero. The performances of the main crew were abysmal - the impression is they hated the script just as much as I hated watching this movie. How did this even get in to theatres?

Worst JP, period. Actors phoned it in, writers phoned it in. Honestly it's like AI wrote the script. Director failed. Total F complete disappointment. Just stop making them, you are going the route of Fast and Furious but worse. Worst JP, period. FULL STOP

Another not interesting, formulaic waste of time. Yawl know the story, Smart aleck kid talks back, everyone does really dumb stuff, and we all cheer when they get eaten. We don't care about anyone in the movie because they're all dumb, DEI and boring.

it was bad really bad ... at the end when they about to leave in the power boat stupid pulling a ripe cord to start the outboard oh wait it travelling across the ocean with TWO at least 200 HP outboards hope that will try and help explained why I gave it a 2 and it was one of the better parts.

So much intense action, viewed on the big screen. Felt like the first Jurassic Park all over again - total thriller ride. Gripping my 10 year old's hand, gripping our plastic dinasour in scenes, oblivious to being on the edge of our seats. Total fun. Best river scenes ever - LOTS of suspense. Felt like a thriller with a few horror moments, and lots of action. top notch scenery and filming - dinosaurs were better than ever. BEST SCARE in a long time. Too much fun! We're big Jurassic Park fans and this one ran up close to # 1 and 2. Story line and characters were NOT fluffy like so many sequels get. Want to watch it again.... Yes, a touch different with mutation concepts but still v. cool. All the previous characters get to intersect - still kicking.
