5/5 AWESOMW!!! Incredible effects. Story is not as strong as Lord of the Rings, but effects are spectacular. Someone said Star Wars was better, are you kidding, the first 2 Star Wars were good (but a joke compared to LOTR) and the rest looked like a bad MacDonalds commercial! **Avatar is just simply great!**

Absolutely loved it! Simple storyline, yet powerful at the same time. And of course a very beautiful movie. The narration sometimes seems to be missing something, but the rest of the movie is fantastic.

This movie was visually stunning and the story definitely brought tears to my eyes. You can really connect with the characters. Ignore the trailer... I have never seen such a captivating film! There was never a dull moment... it did not feel like a long movie at all. I want to see it again!!!

I enjoyed not only the attention to detail with the creative adaption of new speaces along with the concept of a biological neuronal system in the existence of a unique deity manifested by the interconnected neurons or forest that influence each other via a biological network that extended to all speaces of this moon. This movie did offer a botanist and agricultural scientist the oportunity to be creative. The character development over the course of the movie evolved in a way that made it believable and refreshing. Some may argue that the plot was predictable at times, however I found my heart pounding in many sceans. A home run movie.

I had only seen 20 seconds of one of the ads on tv and thought it would be some kind of silly kid movie with awesome sci-fi elements (ships and weapons, and such) thrown on. I didn't even know who directed it. I wasn't at all hyped to go see this movie; but a friend talked me into going just the same... ...and I do not regret this one little bit! Avatar is the best all-round movie I have ever seen - period. All the 3D and flashy technology is firmly set in a way that only supports teh telling of a great story. As for the story: a silly kids story, it is not!
