  A beautiful movie to watch. Made good use of the 3D effect without the obvious gags. This was a thoroughly enjoyable movie-going experience.

  Cameron's Avatar plays it safe and simple in terms of story and characters, but that's what one would expect from a big tent, big budget event movie. The eye-candy is ubiquitous, the good guys are likable, the bad guys are despicable. The simplistic story combined with the super-saturated colours make this viewer feels as if he was watching a very expensive cartoon. Despite these shortcomings, "Avatar" comes through on pure visual and audio entertainment, bringing the audience to a fantastic future universe.

  Cameron is a brilliant director. Some of his movies are kind of wishy-washy, but he seems to improve his abilities every time out.
