Part sci-fi, part comedy, part political/social/environmental issues drama, and mostly just too much of a mixed bag for me to get invested. I love disaster movies (call me 'disturbed' I guess), but this one tried to be too many different things and the result was just a mumbo-jumbo of misfires. I think most of the high-calibre cast probably signed up because of the obvious slams against capitalism and commentary on the state of our planet's environmental problems (which is fine), but it was just too much of a slap in the face for me to enjoy. With these kinds of movies, I just want to munch down a bowl of popcorn and enjoy two hours of mindless entertainment, but this one didn't work. Greenland (released earlier this year) had basically the same plot but I thought did a better job of just focusing on the impending disaster and how people dealt with it.

Another movie whose best part was the trailer. Watch the trailer and save your money. The entertaining parts were too few and far between to make this movie worthwhile, total sleeper.

Excellent movie. A poignant allegory to many current issues our planet faces. It's funny but also disheartening. The last scene around the supper table is really well done. I can see someone being disappointed if they thought this was a goofy comedy since it is more a statement about many of the ridiculous and harmful aspects of our current society potentially affecting the well-being of the planet and it's inhabitants.

With all that star power, could be one of the worst movies ever made,,, beyond stupid.

With all the so-called talent in this movie , I thought how bad can it be? WRONG - it was up there with one of the worst movies I've ever had the misfortune to see

So disappointing! Such a star studded cast in such a poor written movie. Quite silly actually! I left shaking my head saying What the heck was that? Surprised these stars would even consider being in this movie???

Thoroughly entertaining. It's scary how we as a society are obsessed with useless, senseless, idiotic "information". I pray we open our eyes to the corruption and banality of our "elected" officials, and remember what is really important. Lord have mercy. I love the last scene of the family enjoying their last meal together and discussing what they are grateful for, and not fearing the end, but accepting it in good company.
