When Sandra returns to work at a factory after a mental health leave, she's laid off. She finds out that the other line workers were given a choice by their team leaderkeep Sandra on the team or get a bonus.
Sandra talks to the plant manager to arrange to hold a second, secret vote and he agrees. She's given a weekend to change their minds and with her husband (Fabrizio Rongione), Sandra sets off to visit each of her 16 co-workers to get them to change their vote in her favor.
