Soldier
trailer
Talk about your bad day at the office. Sure, some people have been downd or made redundant, but usually the thing that's replacing you isn't also trying to kill you. That's the premise of this movie about a genetically-engineered soldier stationed on a distant world who suddenly finds himself last year's model.
The newer and more vicious soldiers who have rendered him obsolete also want to kill him. But soldier boy finds a community of peace-niks who he befriends and then helps defend from the bad guys. Says director Anderson: "At its heart, it's an old-fashioned western."
