trailer
Cyborg agent Major (Scarlett Johansson) lives in 2029 futuresque-Japan, where artificial intelligence is more real than reality itself. Although Major is aware of what she is, she knows that she was once a human, and longs for the ability to experience that connection again. She has a past, and vows to uncover the mystery around the person she used to be.
With her security team Public Security Section 9, she must take down notorious hacker, the Puppet Master. However, as Major begins to question her entire existence, her ability to distinguish where humanity ends and cyborgism begins is put the ultimate test.
Based on the Japanese manga series "The Ghost in the Shell" by Masamune Shirow.
