Barakah Meets Barakah Overview

This self-financed film is marketed as “Saudi Arabia’s first rom-com.” It features comedian and social-media superstar Hisham Fageeh, who plays a mild-mannered civil servant named Barakah. He finds himself running up against his society’s strict rules when he falls for Bibi, the outspoken and fashion-forward daughter of a wealthy couple.
