A Ghost Story
trailer
C (Casey Affleck) and his wife, M (Rooney Mara), are happily married, living an idyllic life, full of love. The only thing they disagree on is their home. She would like to leave the dilapidated country house, while he would rather stay.
When he's killed in a head-on car crash just a few feet from his own driveway, their neighbors bring a pie to his distraught wife, M (Rooney Mara), who devours the entire thing in one sitting. C returns to her side, clad in a white sheet, but he has to watch passively, unable to interact. Eventually, M moves away, but he's bound to the house.
C notices another ghost next door, clad in a flowered sheet. Other tenants move into the house, but they sense C's presence and don't stay long. Time begins to unravel as he slips forward and back through the decades.
